About the workshop
M.I.Auto s.r.o. is an independent car workshop on Sládkovičova in Ružomberok. We work on diagnostics, vehicle electronics and mechanical repairs.
How we go about it
Most faults show up somewhere other than where they start. An engine warning light does not say which part has failed — it says that a control unit recorded a value outside what it expected. All of the work lives between those two sentences.
So a fault code gets verified by measurement. That is slower than replacing the part the code mentions, but it is the only way to avoid replacing a part that was fine.
The same holds for electrics and for timing systems. Electrical faults are worked through the wiring diagram, by elimination. Timing systems are not left until they fail, because once a timing system fails the repair is no longer about the timing system.
