Wheel alignment

Wheel geometry is how the wheels sit relative to the road and to each other. When the settings drift — off a kerb, after a suspension part is replaced, or gradually through wear — the car pulls to one side, the steering wheel sits off centre and the tyres wear unevenly. Measuring shows the real figures so they can be set.

Wheel alignment

When to deal with it

  • The car pulls to one side on a level road.
  • The steering wheel is off centre when driving straight.
  • Tyres are worn more on the inner or outer edge.
  • After a suspension part has been replaced, or after hitting a kerb.
  • After a tyre change, when you want new tyres to wear evenly.

What we do

  1. We prepare the vehicle and check the suspension for play that would distort the measurement.
  2. We measure the actual figures and compare them against the values for that vehicle.
  3. We adjust whatever is adjustable on that vehicle.
  4. We go through the figures with you, before and after.
